On a sunny Sunday Afternoon Port Talbot Town DFC welcomed Coed-Eva Athletic PAN Disability Football Club too Victoria Road Stadium for a 7 a Side Friendly at Premiership & Championship Ability.
Due to late drop outs in the Port Talbot Squad the format was changed to a combined 9v9
First Period
Coed-Eva Kicked off playing right to left. The game was very fast paced and end to end with both teams finding chances but both goalkeepers were on point to keep the game goalless. Despite both teams pushing hard after 20 minutes the first period was brought to an end.

Port Talbot 0-0 Coed-Eva
Second Period
Port Talbot Kicked off and it didn't take long for the first goal of the game to be score. After a goalmouth scramble with Coed-Eva unable to clear their lines the ball was slotted home by debutant Rhys Puxley after 22 minutes. Score1-0
Port Talbot. The visitors restarted the game and pushed for an equaliser and 4 minutes later their efforts were rewarded with Kieron Underwood finding the back of the net slotting home underneath the diving Port Talbot Keeper. Score 1-1.
This Goal livened up both teams and both continued to push each other hard.
12 minutes later after a good counter attack Coed-Eva took the lead with Kieron Underwood finding the net again for his second goal of the game. Score 1-2.
Coed-Eva continued to push forward and were awarded a free kick in a dangerous area after a foul by the port Talbot Defence. Despite some nasty scenes and Coed-Eva having a player issued a Blue-Card to sit out too calm down for 2 minutes. The Free Kick was well dealt with with the Port Talbot defence and they countered with purpose with Anthony Evans and Paul Burrows linking up well however the final product could not be found. The Referee blew for the end of the period.

Third Period
Coed-Eva Kicked off the final period. A quick interception and counter led to veteran striker Paul Burrows finding an equaliser for Port Talbot. Score 2-2.
Both teams again were spurred on by this goal, attacked with purpose and defended valiantly.
A moment of magic by Coed-Eva's Kieron Underwood getting the ball just inside the Port Talbot Half and slicing through the defence and finding the bottom corner of the goal for his Hat-Trick Score 2-3.
Port Talbot held their heads up again and pushed back hard at Coed-Eva and worked hard on keeping the ball. and just 5 Minutes later striker Leon Greenaway guided a shot past the Coed-Eva Keeper to tie the game up. Score 3-3.
As the game was reaching its finale both teams were keeping up the intensity despite legs getting tired. Both teams were doing everything to find a winner and in the final minute in another goalmouth scramble Leon Greenaway found the bottom corner to add his second goal. Score 4-3.
As Coed-Eva restarted play the referee blew for full time.

The game itself was full of intensity and passion and it was a great to see what Footballers with Additional Needs can produce with encouragement and Hard Work.
